Hello! My name is Rick. I am 15 years old and am a beginner carver. I kind of played with the idea of carving a few years ago, but gave up. In December, I decided to try it again, and love it now! I bought a book called Whittling Sticks and Twigs, and it really got me interested. I am a banjo player, and have been playing close to 4 years. I live on a farm, and am homeschooled. I love aquariums, and hope to carve realistic fish, and plants, and make a "wooden aquarium". I also would like to carve some wood for the aquariums I have now (I want to carve a realistic hand and put it in my piranha tank). Well, that's about all. I look forward to seeing everybodies projects, and learn a lot. Thanks, Rick |

Welcome to the WCI family Rick! You do know what happens if you carve a hand from wood and leave it in a tank full of Piranhas?..Don't cha'??? You get a wood carved skeletal remains of a hand! LOL!!! HA! If only there was a way to harness the carving ability of Piranha's.....??? We wouldn't need to carve! What's the sense in that???

Thanks everybody. I live out in the boonies but the closest town is Lancaster, in Fairfield County. Since people sell the paintings that monkies and elephants do, why not a piranha carved log? LOL Thanks again, Rick |
