| | Hello! New From Nor Cal! So excited about being a part of this forum! I am really looking forward to meeting new people and sharing ideas!
I carve with power tools and hand tools. Making Art Dolls is a passion, but I seem to make more hair pieces than anything. Good thing I like it! Can't wait to hear from everyone!
Much Love and many Blessings,

| | Re: Hello! New From Nor Cal! Welcome Keoma,
I can't wait to see pictures of your work....please post some soon. The art dolls sound wonderful. There are quite a few power carvers on the forum, including myself. It is a great place to be if you work in wood. |

| | Re: Hello! New From Nor Cal! Hello! I checked out your site...I love the Santa! It is beautiful! I am trying to post a picture of my latest doll...I will figure it out eventually! Thank you for your interest. I have been looking for a long time a place to share my ideas and creations. I am so excited to look around in the forum!
OKOK! I did it! Success! This is my second Doll. Her Name is Alma Mae Strega. She is my favorite!
This is Roslyn, my Victorian Ice skater. She has her hair done up in a French Roll, has antique MOP buttons down the back and is on her stand, that is also her pond. She was an absolute thrill to have in my home!
OK, This one I think is my best one. Her name is mary mandolin. She is my barefooted Gypsy dancer. I made her a sweet little mandoline and she even has a crystal ball. What Gypsy would be caught without one?! This doll is where I really started to do curls. HE he...how fun!
Thank you for letting me share. I know my skills are still a bit novice, and I am not as smooth as others, but I have the love of it and I know it will only get stronger. This is a passion that will never leave me! |

| | Re: Hello! New From Nor Cal! Thank you very much!
I live in Laytonville, an hour North from Ukiah and 2 hours south of Eureka. I use only salvaged wood, so each doll depends on what I have. My witch is pine, Ice Skater is Cedar, and my Dancer is maple...I definately enjoy the results of hardwood much better!
Thanx again for the compliments, I really appreciate it! |
