Nice to see ya here Sue, I know that as a new carver you have been warned; but here it is again. It will consume you! Carving may take the place of cooking meals, ironing, cleaning, and any other leasure time activities. Welcome aboard. Tom H

Thank you Tom. That's scary. Lol. I have a tendancy to get addicted to hobbies and crafts so this will be another one to add to my list. I wonder if there is a pill for hobby addictions. I somehow doubt it. Nice to be here.

Sue,
There are a number of beginners amongst the group, I being one of them. I picked up carving tools some 6-7 months ago and the support I have received from the members has been great. Look forward to chatting with you.

Thank you Ron. Blind Man With A Knife! Lol. I've been reading different threads and the questions and answers are very informative. No doubt in the future I will have some questions that will have you all scratching your heads. But I will try to think before I ask.

Hi Kathy;
I'm very happy to see I'm not the only beginner. I just started a couple of weeks ago and am new to the whole process. I've enjoyed all of the beautiful work I've seen. Everyone is so talented!
Thanks for the warm welcome from all of you.
Sue

Sue, you will find that WCI folks are the best. It doesn't matter if your a beginner or a professional carver these folks love to help, share and encourage. We can all learn from each other and don't be shy about asking for help.
