Default Hello from Mass.

I have been lurking for a while... Finally just bought some wood and knives. I am excited about carving some tree ornaments for my grandkids...

Hi 77
Welcome to the group, If you go to You Tube and watch some of Gene Mesner's videos or Carvers workshop videos it will help you on your ornaments. Arleen at Carvers Workshop just finished a Santa Penquin and a Santa Cat that would be ideal in my opinion. Just a thought.

Thanks Larry. I liked the Santa cat. I'd like to carve something like that - but I'm afraid that would be a challenge. Right now I'm carving a snowman that I'm fighting with, the basswood is hard (I think).
