| | Hello From Maryland Just thought I would introduce myself. I am a woodcarver residing in Lansdowne Md. I have been carving for about 20 years now and enjoy carving Old World Santas. I have a small shop and storefront in Elkridge Md.
Afew years ago a designed and built a roughout machine for my santas. It takes quite a few hours out of the roughout stage.

| | Re: Hello From Maryland I big Canadian welcome to you we would love to see your work and some information on your roughouts most of us love to carve Santa's. I like you like the rough outs but thats only because I have ADD (my wife says I do anyway) and I like the fact that someone has taken the time to take all that wood away I dont need

Nice work! I'm not sure, but I seem to remember one or two others posting bout carving Santas--but I couldn't be ABSOLUTELY certain about that. (I bet BobD could change the Holiday carving forum to the Santa Forum LOL.)
Welcome again, and don't let anybody sweet talk ya outa one of your Santas--at least not without an even trade like one of yours for two of theirs! LOL

| | Re: Hello From Maryland Welcome Decoycarve, nice to have you with us! I would be one of those Santa carvers mentioned by Bob. I carve other things but must admit, Santas make up most of what I carve....not that I mind, one little bit, I've always loved Santa Claus!
Your work looks great!! I really like the rough out machine, roughing out is my only NON favorite part of carving! Again, welcome!! Callynne |
