Default Hello From The Land Of Cotton, Old Times There......

Hello, I'm new to carving and am amazed at the talent that so many of y'all have. Maybe someday I'll have a carving worthy of posting on this site - if I don't cut myself too many times and bleed to death. But it will be fun in the process. Good Luck, Great Carving and God Bless! Traolach

Welcome Traolach,

and glad to have new carvers especially those from the land of cotton... which could be about anywhere now days...

CARVING UPDATE: a few things have been invented since man first picked up a butcher knife and started whacking at wood.. carving gloves and finger protectors make a big difference and you get many more hours between shealing sessions, and a lot more carving done,

get you a kevlar carving glove and something to protect your fingers, sharpen up your best pairing knife and come on and learn something.

theres something going here every day to learn or comment about,
