Hi Jesse,
Welcome aboard from another carver in Northern Indiana. Great carvings, you're either a natural or have had a very good instructor, very nice job!

Dan

Thanks for the kind words. I do not consider myself a natural and have not logged any classroom time. I have a fairly large collection (for a beginner) of 'how to' books and a good friend who inspired me to give carving a try. We stopped at a campground just outside St. Louis Missouri in May of 2009 where we met Bob Bierman. After looking at his works and watching him along with some other local carvers busy making wood chips, I became inspired to give it a try. Little did I realize I would become as excited about it as I have. Bob and my wife have been very supportive and provided guidance over the past year, for which I am very thankful. I may not be a natural, but I have been pretty prolific. Had to construct a second shelf unit in the family room to hold my little wooden characters.

Hi Jesse: Glad you found the forum. You look like a natural to me. Your carvings are neat and the paint is well done. Oh, I've been to Indiana many times as my wife is from White County.
