Default Hello, Great to Meet You!

Hi, all!

I've had a burning desire most of my life to learn to carve carousel and rocking horses, and now I'm beginning to learn the basic woodcarving skills! My granddad was quite a carver of avocado wood, but the knowledge just never transferred. I look forward to seeing what you are working on!

Hi Lisa, welcome!
Love your Avatar...Your granddad being a carver means you have woodchips in your blood. It was just a matter of time until you discovered it. Looking forward to watching your progress.
We have some wonderful carver's and woodburner's on this site who are very generous with their help. Just ask!
Kathy

Hello and welcome, Lisa. It's nice to have you here with us. That zebra is quite eye catching.

Hello Lisa!
Glad you got started on learning how to carve. Most of us would readily admit we're still learning after years of "trying." But it a wonderful and productive pasttime.

May I say, that's a strange looking saddle horse you're on in your avatar...something new in Texas? Or is your pony in his pjs?

Anyway, welcome and hope you enjoy our message board.
