It will cut tucker...it turns well on a lathe too, I made a pen out of some of it.

Sorry it took so long to respond,

I posted some pictures in the Carvers Image Gallery. They show the bench, fixture, and my first attempt at a figurine.

I cut the ipe on my table saw, and scroll saw, and worked the mortise and tennons with my chisels. It dulls tools fast! It creates a really fine dust that is hard to clean up, but it will polish scratch free at 1000 grit. I am going to try it on some birds later this year, but for now having fun with basswood, locust, dogwood and cherry.
