Default Hello from Cleveland (sort of)

Hi All,

I'm new to the forum, so I thought I'd say "Hi". I've been carving about three or four years - mostly relief carving, nature/landscapes, flowers, animals (horse and cougar [in progress]) - and Signs. I'm interested in perhaps carving signs as a side business - any thoughts, pointers, tips? Types of wood? Sources of wood?

Also, I'd be interested in finding other carvers in the greater Cleveland area. Actually, I'm about 45 min. West of Cleveland, in Amherst (just South of Lorain, OH). Any other carvers out here?

Thanks for any and all greetings, tips, pointers, suggestions, etc.
Peter

Welcome Peter! I used to live in Amherst, but that was some time ago. I am sure you'll find other carvers in the area. Again, welcome to the board. Tom H
