Default Hello from Chilliwack British Columbia

Hello everyone, my name is Carl, I recognise some of the names from the SSW forum.

I haven't done too much carving, just a little whittling. My grandfather carved stone and my father carved wood, at this rate I should be carving Ivory soap by the end of the year.

I will spend far more time reading the posts than actively giving information.

Once I make a suitable avatar I will post it.

Welcome Carl you forgot to mention that Chilliwack is one of the most beautiful places on the planet nestled in the middle of the Canadian Rockies. It has been a few years since I was there but if I remember rightly Cultus Lake is very beautiful but very cold even in the summer. Nice to have you with us we look forward to your participation.

Welcome my friend!!!!!

Carl is too modest--he's one of the moderators on the SSW message board. He's an innovative designer and general great guy!

if you have scrolling questions--he's the one to ask!!!!

And he's a ball room dancer to boot <grin>

Bob

Maybe we will see him on "Dancing with the Stars". Believe it or not this is something that very few people know. I have my Bronze, Silver,Gold and Gold Star for ballroom dancing. Hard to believe isnt it for those who know me. My mom and dad started me when I was five years old and I danced twice a week until I was 16. Guess what you couldnt get me on a dance floor now even if you tried. Scary thought isnt it me on a dance floor doing the foxtrot or quickstep.LOL

Welcome Carl, great to have on board. Was just up in Chilliwack two months ago visiting my uncle, he actually lives on the main road going up to Cultus lake. Looking forward to seeing some of your work. Bill

Welcome aboard Carl. Great to see another carving Canuck with us. Chilliwack is a beautiful place, certainly lots of trees to keep you supplied with carving material.
