 Hello Carvers Greetings from Northern Indiana. I just received my new carving set from Rick. It will be fun to try carving tools instead of my old pocket knife. I found a carving show coming to the area in November, I'm anxious to meet someother carvers, and ask a lot of questions. Flyboy TJ  |

| Re: Hello Carvers Thanks for the words of welcome folks. Tom H. my user name comes from my other hobbies. I'm a fly fisher, and a experimental aircraft association member.I participate in the local EAA chapters building projects. Saw Dusty, I live in Mishawaka, just East of South Bend. My wife and I will be in Ft. Wayne this coming weekend for A festival. I decided on Ricks beginner set after seeing his offer to sharpen the tools for free. I figured that they must be of a high enough quality metal to hold an edge, or he would be resharpening a lot of tools. I've been working on a neckerchief slide of an indian chief that I had started some time ago with a pocket knife. With the new tools I'll be able to add some detail and call it done. I don't think I'll add any paint to it. Flyboy TJ |
