Default hello from Brampton Ont.

hello this is Tony.....hows is everyone doing?
i love your site....lots of great informaion.....i learned so much from you folks..i just started carving a few months ago. i got one carving finished that i entered in the Canadian woodcarving championships......i did really good for my first one...i would gotten a 2nd place but i used a spar varnish that made it to shiny damn but i did get a honourable mention ribbon..but anyways im speachless......heres a pic of the finished goblin......thanks Tony

OOPS hope it works this time, but heres the pic....and heres a pic of a cherry paddle i started in hight school in 1984.. man was it dry....heres what i got going on ........

Nice piece of work. Yep, that shiney finish does detract from the overal look but it still looks like a winner to me.

You have some nice carvings there. I have a canoe paddle roughed out that I may just turn into a carving myself. Problem is the wood is spruce as I needed a couple of paddles last year to run a river in New Brunswick. Welcome to the site.

thanks.everyone......i checked out all your web sites and wow,lots of beautiful carvings.and some i already had saved.good work.
Mark A. aka Carolina Carver, i think your work is just awesome.I love the native Indian carvings...And for every one great stuf....and thanks for responding..... oh ya one last i got the sails roughed in and im down to carving the boat.i put it down and let the carving sit till i knew what i was gonna do lol......thanks Tony
