Default Hello to all with splinters!

well I finally am following advice from friends to join an online carving community , and I'm impressed at what i have seen , here I thought it was a small group , guess I'm not as unique as I thought, anyway , next i'm going to post some of my pictures as soon as I figure out how, . I carve almost any smooth grained wood , favorite is Arbutus (or Madrone ) as ive heard it called , otherwise cherry , Maple , yellow cedar or whatever I have at hand . looking forward to some feedback and critiques , i also make instruments ,and also my own tools , anything to avoid paying work..... cya in the funny papers ,Matt
