That's nice! Have you been to the Charlotte Woodcarver's show? it's in February. I always go and check out the awesome talent and carvings. Maybe I'l see you there this Feb. Any shows up your way?

I have never been but definitely plan on going this year.There is one in Hickory in Oct. I believe.
I'll be easy to spot in Charlotte, I'll be the one walking around with my eyes as big as silver dollars and my mouth gaped wide open. LOL!

I'm in the Sandhills to be exact... about 70 miles east of Charlotte, NC in the southern piedmont of NC.

Welcome aboard, I did the same thing by subscribing to both wood carving magazines for about three years before joining this great board. Amazing how much I have learned about carving by just asking the members. Just locate a good drug store that will give you a good discount on badaids.
