Default Hello Again-From Minnesota!

Hey All,
Been lurking off & on for years! So long that I honestly thought I was a member until I attempted to post this thread. I too love motorcycle touring & carving fish decoys, and carving/antiquing duck decoys & like to buy-sell-trade them & other hunting/fishing memorbilia. I grew up in Glenwood, MN. I have spent the past thirty years in law enforcement. I retired February 1st, 2002 but got bored & went back to work only to dream about retiring again--need to carve more!

You need to carve real bad!

Return to working in law enforcement or carve.......son, you've been working too hard, if you choose working?

Get yourself some wood and have at it, nothing like it. Good to have you with us, great folks aboard here, you'll find them real helpful, just ask.

Bob

BORED !!!!
How could you get bored ? I've been retired for almost 16 years, & never a boring moment. In fact the days keep getting shorter, even when getting up at 5:00 AM.
Maybe your chisels needed sharpening.
If I were you I'd take another try at it.

See, now don't you wish you'd posted before this, we could have all talked you out of going back to work!

What do you all think guys, work or carve....carve or work...hmmmm, carving wins hands down for me!! If you were posting, you could have been talking to us about carving when you weren't actually doing it. That would have taken up ALL your time!

Seriously, Welcome from the shadows, it's good to have you 'officially' with us! Deborah

Back to law enforcement I dont think so you only miss it for a little while. Remember the hours, paperwork, court time, court briefs, night shifts, @#$% and abuse both physical and verbal, not to mention the politics, ahhhh no way now all you have to do is carve and listen to the wife (hmmmm maybe work wouldnt be that bad)LOL Anyway welcome nice to have you aboard.

Hey Everyone,

Thanks for all of the WELCOMES, I can hardly wait to retire again & really enjoy this Forum along with the carving of course, and maybe some woodburning --- scales on fish decoys & bills on duck decoys are all that I have done, but looks like it would be fun to pursue further.
Thanks,
R. Huckeby
