Default Hello

I just got signed up this morning and thought I should probably introduce myself. My name is Jim Davis and I live in Gilbert Arizona. I moved here 18 months ago after taking early retirement from the University of California, Irvine. Until a year ago I had never done anything artistic in my life. I began doing some wood burning and some work in copper. Yesterday Lora Irish (carving patterns.com) saw a couple of pictures of my work and told me I needed to get my stuff on this forum. So, here I am. Given I do work in both wood and copper I'll post some pictures in "off topic."
Jim

Welcome abord jim,

keep your eyes open im sure youll find your niche here amoung all the fourms, and as far as artistic lisense, im sure youll develop one here as things spark your intrest its the best place i found to ask about any question you can think of about anything about artistic creativity methods, materials, and technology of the crafts....
if you need help about a subject. just call out. someone will come to the rescue.

would love to see your work, especally the copper, look to the left upper side of the page, in the frame menu under the carving community click on the Carving Galleries, there you can make an album and post all your projects

again welcome
