Default Hello!

Greetings!
I'm interested in learning chip carving to complement several projects I have involving snare drums and drum kits. I've not done any carving before so guidance would be appreciated.
I'm looking forward to meeting and making friends. Thanks.

Welcome, J. Richard!
Glad you found us. I'm not a chip carver but I'll just bet you'll find some good help here. Barry McKenzie of Lebannon Missouri is one of the best chip carvers in the midwest--and maybe even the US. He has a website, books, patterns, classes, tools, supplies, etc. He's been featured in our Wood Carving Illustrated with projects for chip carvers. Look him up and you can even type in chip carving in the search feature of this discussion board and find past postings on the subject.

Good luck and let us know how you're doing.
