Well, I had a hundred or so people sing happy birthday to me at the start of an auction, several wondering "why am I singing happy birthday and who is this guy?" Several others have missed less than 10 of our weekly Auctions in the last 10 years. Nearly everything in their home passed through our Auction! Some of them, we've even shared our lives, broken bread with. I'll miss some of them when we sell and buy a farm somewhere else. They'll miss us, the only entertainment in a small Florida town on a Friday night.
We've worn out our joints and backs entertaining these Folks...moving furniture and merchandise. I hope to spend the next several years entertaining my self and my family...before entertaining doctors and their financial managers.
Melancholy shouldn't exist, shouldn't be allowed, but I still have 4 minutes left of my birthday, so I'll push the limits of the envelope.
It's been a good life! Regrets? By the bushel basket full, if written very small. But I've been independent. I've been free. There have been lots of times I've hated what I was doing, but with 5 kids, I only did it til I could find another way to do something I enjoyed, something more independent, more free.
My greatest regrets have been the times I've said something that I couldn't take back, especially to my children....
But it's 12:01, another day, no longer my birthday, so I'm done.
Forgive my ramblings.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
Wade
