Hello MoodyBlue: I did a double take when I saw that name. I have a sister in law that goes by that screen name too. Welcome to the forum. I am relatively new to the forum and I am also in the Wichita Area. (Augusta). I am a member of the local carving group (since 1990), the Great Plains Woodcarvers as are Ron and X-Sailer. Our monthly meeting was last night. We will be undertaking a club competition the next two months carving any and everything from a 2x 2x 4 in. piece of wood. I wonder if one of your mentors might be named Gregg? I am retired Cessna (Dept 174) having left there 1-1-08.
Let us know if we can offer any assistance. This is a great forum sponsored by Woocarving Illustrated Magazine. Their magazine is a teasure if you don't already know that.

Lots of info here and tons of good people. Welcome again.

Ed

Hi Ed, your sister sounds like a very smart and wonderful person. To actually pick a name as awesome as MoodyBlue? Wow, very cool. Is she an Elvis fan or is that a description of her personality? For me it was both plus the addition of my last name. Yep, Gregg is one of my “mentors”. (More like my drink pourer though.) Nice to meet you Ed.

Hi Slather, I’ve worked on Cessna Citation Jets for a little over five years. I’ve flown on most of them. For the last two years I’ve been in Cessna Trade Compliance. I got off that concrete floor but I lost the fun of wrenching on the aircraft. That’s why I carve quite a bit more these days and which led to joining this forum.
