Hey there PWFarm - glad to have you here. Welcome! Great site, great people, and LOT's of great advice and direction to be had here.

Just thought I'd also suggest another possibility for you. Not sure if you're into carving sticks (canes, walking sticks, etc.), but one of the members here is Totemwood Tommy who also runs a stick carving discussion group over on Yahoo. Anyway - he too has had to struggle with a brain injury (from a "bonk" as he puts it), and he might be a great resource for you to connect with since he has had to deal with many of the same issues you're faced with.

Just a thought. Look him up and send him a PM. He is based in Washington State. Nice guy.

Cheers and welcome!

Smile Re: Greetings

Thanks to all for your words of welcome and encouragement. I used to carve anything I put my mind to plus small wood carved boxes, canes, chip carving, and 3d pictures. I started a simple hummingbird last Saturday morning and after I cut out the rough design my mind went blank as how to proceed.Sad It's on hold till my brain decides to function. Yesterday, looking for another shot at carving I picked up a piece of pine and carved out a ducks body, finished and mounted the head today. I can't figure out how I did it but I did. Is that funny or what.Mobster A moment ago I got the hummingbird back out andSleepingbrain still in zzzzzzzmode.
Thank You everyone! If I have time and can figure out how, I will post the duck tomorrow. And then again when it is finished.
