Green wing drake

Hello everyone,it,s been a while that i,ve posted on here,here is a green wing that i did a few weeks back,thought i,d post it,it,s lifesize hollowed out,but i made it oversize,it shoud be some what smaller,i think it would look better,basswood ,acrylics,an order for a customer.

milford,nova scotia.

What a beautiful bird!! You must have a pile of hours in that one. The pose is great.

thanks dick,i dont know the hours,but i think it took around 7 days,early mornings and late nights,watching t..v,wood burning and painting.

Milford what an amazing carving! I really like the pose and the awesome detail... Someone is really going to enjoy this carving as a center piece on a mantel in a hunting/fishing lodge! Thanks for sharing your creation with us and safe carving to you!
