Hi everyone! Don't have a clue what I'm trying to do, but willing to learn. I have NEVER carved anything in my life so I am definitely NEW at this. Mainly I am interested in carving bowls that are food safe. I have access to all the cypress I can use, but have no clue if this is a good wood to start with!!! HELP.. all advice welcome. |

Based on the information in this list, the dust ~could~ be a problem for some - otherwise it looks relatively safe. http://www.cs.rochester.edu/u/roche/...isc/wood.toxic |

Well, being surrounded by cypress sure helps! Check out some of the carving videos on youtube, or search out the site here for help. Drop a line, ask a question, or post a question here, and im sure you will be on your way to your new destination! Welcome to the WCI family of woodcarvers!
