| | Glad to be here Just want to say hello and break my silence. I found and have been reading this forum for nearly a month and cannot believe the wealth of information and kindness of sharing among the membership here.
I enjoy all phases of woodworking, but lean toward smaller projects. I just recently entered the world of woodburning and look forward to working with it. Carving has really gotten my attention the past couple of weeks and I have decided to give it a try. I just ordered my beginners kit from Little Shavers yesterday based on the recommendations of this forum. I look forward to receiving it and getting started on my first block of wood immediately. I figure between woodburning and carving, I won't be seeing much of the inside of my shop until the weather warms up in a couple of months.
Sorry I got a little wordy. Just wanted to say hello and glad to be here.

| | Re: Glad to be here Welcome! And you're right; this is the place to be. You're starting off right too; with Ricks "starter" set. The only thing you might want to add to the set is a box of bandaids.
