| | Glad to be here Hi everyone,
I've been enjoying this forum for a few weeks now and have decided to throw out a post. My grandfather died when I was 6, but he left behind many of his animal carvings that I enjoyed in my folks house growing up. I always wanted to give it a try. I have an art background, but never ventured into arena of wood carving. I have an interest in adding a stippled, wood burned effect to my carvings. Attached is a photo of my first attempt at carving and wood burning. I just finished it this week. Looking forward to corresponding with you all.

| | Re: Glad to be here Nice! That stippling almost gives your carving the look of an old stone sculpture.
