G'day all, my names Robby or Basty witch ever you like, I live in the Yarra Valley south east of Melbourne. I've been chainsaw carving for about four years on and off and want to step it up a notch. So this forum looks like a great place to start. I'm always willing to learn new things and hope to pick up some hints and tips on seasoning ,treating, finishing and well anything that will help me become a better carver. Thanks BastyMonkey Last edited by Basty; 01-09-2009 at 10:33 AM. Reason: cant count |

Howdy!! I'm checking out "cypres knee" carvings. Is a cypress knee the same as a "pine knot"? A pine knot is the piece of a branch shere it grows out from the trunk of the tree. In Pennsylvania USA,cypress trees do not exist. Thanks for any response. Dave
