Default G'day.

As a newcomer to your forum the Moderator suggested a few words. I'm a little in awe of the quality of work I see displayed here, and I love the friendly ambience. I have a lifetime of woodworking but very little carving experience. I wont be carving anything for a week or so because I touched the tip of my right index finger onto my tablesaw blade and it gobbled it up. The good news is that I missed the nail and and the bone but lost the meat. Before I turn this saw on it is my habit to make a prayer gesture and say.."Please dont bite me today." For once in many months I neglected to do this and the result is a holiday from carving and any other heavy work for awhile. I mention all this as a cautionary tale. The God of powertools is a jealous God! It will not be taken for granted.
I have already learned a lot and had many questions answered from browsing this forum and I look forward to enjoying the wisdom of it's members.
I live in the little town of Mackay, Queensland, Australia, which is a pretty nice place to do time on Planet Earth. All the best from Bobbo.
