| | The Feather Merchant Hi! My name is chuck and I would like to communicate with any carver, especially anyone that has a handicap. I have an essential tremor, which just means that I have the shakes real bad. It does not stop me from carving though, I just carve very slow and am careful. I especially like carving walking sticks and canes in a southwestern style. I also do quite a bit of relief carving. Any suggestions for a jig or carving patterns (especially of feathers)? |

| | Re: The Feather Merchant Chuck I have patterns for feathers, I do quite a few of them actually. Might be I can help you out. I'll dig around and post links. Might take me a little time.
Try this link, might be a help to get started. http://www.feathersinwood.com/RED%20...NTING-DEMO.htm

| | Re: The Feather Merchant Welcome aboard. Carving with disabilities is just like carving without, it just takes a little more time and some added problem solving. It is just as satisfying and very calming. Never give up!

| | Re: The Feather Merchant Welcome aboard Chuck. Let me first say that there is only one place for the word Handicap and that is on the golf course. We are not handicapped we just have a different way of doing things. I mainly do relief carvings and I am every once in a while caught with a saw doing a tree spirit. So just jump right in and join the fun.
