Default Experienced carver with new question

Hi...I am an experienced carver but have my first assignment to carve a crow. Can anyone help me with dimensions while roosting. I can find the wing span and the weight but not the dimensions...Any answers of suggestions will be greatly appreciated...

Well, geez sounds like an excellent project. How about getting yourself some plasteline at the craft store and experiment creating a crow as a model. You could model your crow in a roosting position. This would tell you visually how it would look--how low you must model the clay for it to look right. You can either model it actually planned size or smaller. All you are after as I understand it is to see the realistic position in roost.
I guess you have done an Online search as you have wing span and weight.
A thought along the modeling line would be to use the clay and model a wing and fold it into a crouched or tucked/relaxed appearance.
Many carvers use non-drying clays (plasteline) to experiment modeling for their woodcarvings.
Almost forgot welcome, I'll keep my eyes open for any crow information for ya.
