Carving an Eagle ???

I am having trouble getting started carving a Bald Eagle ?? I know what I
want it to look like, but !! I tried to do it with a chain saw . That's not
working for me or the wood. Every time I look at the peace it growls at me !

If anyone can help I would appreciate it !!!

Thanks for the help !! I was able to pickup a book about chain saw carving
an Eagle . Going to give it another try , let you know how I make out.

Hi Mish, the first question is "is it a chainsaw you want to carve the Eagle with"? If so I have many exapmles on my website & just finished carving a Red Tailed Hawk to add to a huge tree trunk sculpture among a Canadian Goose, owl & others. I am doing a eagle, but much smaller. The lenght is about 6 inchs and the wing smpan is about 15 I hope that is the right measurements. I make them either to long or to short.
