Default Brand Spanking New!
Hi folks, brand new to wood carving. I have always loved wood and have admired carvings for years. My husband has been using his laith for a year now and with all the trips for tools, wood, etc. I just had to buy a few carving tools a couple weeks ago! My first project was a Santa. Now don't roll your eyes!! I just love Christmas and Santa. I'm old enough, but still believe in the miracles of Christmas both through religion and through the child's eye and heart! He is turning out ok. I'm to the point where I'm researching out tips and tricks to make my new hobby even better. Thanks for reading and look forward to learning many things from all of you.

Wecome Callycreations to the WCI Message Board. You will find quite a few Santa/Christmas carvers here. And it is safe for me to say that we are looking for "new eyes" in all of our categories. Makes us look at our own work differently.
