Default Brand New Carver....new carvings.

I'm just starting out in carving. Wanted to do it for years but finally just decided to dive right in. I have a pair of cowboy boots and a hat I carved with my power carver and a caricature I carved with my Xacto knife. Not very good...I'm just starting.

Take a look if you like.....

Thanks!

Looks like you have a darn good start on this carving business, Kelly! And don't underestimate those Exacto knives. A lot of good carvers started out with them, and a lot of great carvings were made with them. When you get ready you will find a favorite carving knife, and you will probably try quite a few before you do.

I think it was Nancy that said "I keep looking for the perfect knife that will make me a great carver." Point being, the joy is in the trip, not the destination!
