Oh BobD, It is you and WCI who needs to be THANKED, for without WCI providing the site, well, us carvers here would be scattered throughout the internet like we were before.

Bob, Some of you who have been carving for years may not realize what a site like this means to some of us new comers who just started or who have been at a few years and have a need to learn more. The folks you have on here are really great when it comes to passing out tips and or there methods and words of encouragement.

Thank you for the site and for the great and kind carvers you have attracted to help others. Mike

I have been coming here for several years, most of us that have been around here for awhile were listed as "guests" for about a year or more, so can't tell exactly how long we have been here, but be that as it may, this has been and still is my favorite site, and without it I would be woefully ignorant of carving......as it is, I am just woefully ignorant! LOL....a person with reasonable intelligence can figure out a lot of things, but it takes a lot of time, so when you have a site like this with the type of people that are on here, willing to help in anyway they can, you can't help but improve your knowledge, technique etc in a much shorter time than the "hunt and peck" method! thanks WCI...(PS, the magazine is also my favorite, excellent is the word!)

Ditto all of the above. The only problem I have is I start reading all the posts on this site and then don't carve as much.

I found this board about two months after I started carving. Lucky me!!! It is truly a wonderful thing to be able to come here and get help if I'm confused with anything. Thanks WCI!

I too like this site. I have been coming here since 2003. I have learned a lot here and hopefully made some good on line friends here. People here are friendly and always willg to help and share their knowledge.
There are a couple of sites which also have a forum. I have been on those sites and just do not fit in. Always felt like an outsider there. If you were not in the clique them you could forget it. Have never felt that way here. Everyone here has always made me feel welcome.
Thanks for a great site to come and have fun and learn.

I'd like to say thank you to all involved. I just joined a few months ago, and I have learned a lot! You've all been helpful and I have been making progress--mostly with making my carving stand. That project is almost done, and I'll be able to get down to some serious carving. Then I hope to be posting some pictures of what you all got me into! LOL! But thanks again for this forum and your help! Hope it lasts a long time to come!

Bob

Our thanks to BobD and his great team at Fox Chapel.

Bob, the magazine sets the stage for carvers and would-be carvers to enjoy, the message board gives us the way to come together, to encourage each other and to help one another along. You and your staff make all of that possible, acting as the glue that keeps us bound together and from flying off in all directions.
Bob
