| | Bark carving I am looking at ways to finish a bark carving. I have recently finished one and am looking for finishing techniques.

| | Re: Bark carving I usually use Deft semi-gloss, usually two to three coats let it dry real good,and then use watco wax dark walnut to antique it. when you finish post some pictures so we can see it. Have a great weekend!!! Lonnie |

| | Re: Bark carving Hello William, I carve a lot of bark and I like to use "Feed & Wax" on them, it brings out the colors and the grain very well. It is a combination of Carnuba, Bee's wax and orange oil. You can find it at hardware stores ( like Lowes ) or at Smokey Mountian Woodcarvers.

| | Re: Bark carving Hey William I do a lot of bark carvings, I use the same technique as Bullshipper, I make sure to wipe off the WATCO liquid wax right away and the antique comes out perfect.
