Default Arana Carver From New Zealand Aotearoa

Hi all Mya name is Arana and I,m a carver from a small town in NZ. I carve Traditional Maori style carving when someone wants one which is usally a weapon of some sort, but I much prefer to dabble in the arty side of carving I guess. I have some works at a gallery and hope to get more in various places around the country.
Of of Irish & Maori Decent, Have a couple of teenage boys, and the rest is history, haven,t had a good look around the site yet but what I,ve seen so far looks preety amazing & the fact that I,m qite computer illiterate doesn,t Help, Anyway Hello Kia-Ora all.

Glad to have you on board. Lived in Wellington back in 93 for a while. Really enjoyed the beer!! The Maori style of carving is quite impressive, especially the council houses.

Greetings and Salutations!

My step-Mom and husband visited your island last year and said that it's absolutely beautiful. All that I know about it is what I've read in Leon Uris's book, Battle Cry.

I'm sure that all on the forum would love to see some of your carvings if you'd care to share them.

Welcome to the forum. I visited NZ about 15 years ago and fell in love with the country. I look forward to seeing some of your work.

Welcome, and please show us your work - you made me very curious as I am not familiar with that style of carving.
