Default Anyone from Tucson, Arizona?
I will be starting on my first wood carving project this coming week. I've not carved anything before, but am "collecting" myself to make the big start. I wondered if anyone on this forum comes from Tucson and if there are any wood carving shows, group meetings, carving lessons or workshops here, etc.?

So glad to meet all of you through your messages and your awesome photos and websites!

Welcome to the forum!

If you look over on the left side of the screen, under WCI Community, click on the link to Carving Clubs. In the new window, enter your state in the pulldown, click on the check box by Carving Clubs, and you'll see all the carving clubs in your state. If one is within driving distance, even for just one time, contact the club, find out their meeting times and places, and go visit. Best place to ask lots of questions, learn how to sharpen knives and gouges, and at many clubs, also a place to buy wood and get patterns.
