Hi, I'm very new to carving. Started a college course last week! My question is, are there any carvers in London who might be able to point in the direction of wood supplies? Thanks & kind regards Poppy |

This information was provided to me a short while back. My wife and daughter are going to London over the Christmas holiday and I asked about where they might find wood and carving supplies in London that otherwise might not be found in the states...in case they wanted to get something for dad (who was sponsoring their trip!<g>): For tools you could try Buck and Ryan Buck & Ryan - Tool Specialists they are fairly central( London WC1 4DA). When you know when and where they are staying you can get more or less any wood delivered direct. Try S. L. Hardwoods for starters. Hope this helps Peter Connor |

Hi Poppy, and welcome. Have you seen the carving magazine called "Carving Magazine--it's published in England and I've seen adverts for various woodcarving supplies within it's pages. By the way it's a wonderful magazine and the work is just beautiful. Kathy
