Default Another New Member

Good morning:
Just wanted to say hello, and let everyone
know how much I enjoy looking at the work
being done. I took some classes at the Creed CO, Rendezvous
a couple of years ago and have loved carving ever
sense. Looking at the pictures of what can be carved is
great. Looking forward to the inspiration.

Nicely done Geezer, that first one has a special something. Isn't it great what you can achieve with a sharp knife, a stick of wood and a little immagination. Well done and welcome aboard.

MA, burning and carving is not the same as playing with matches and knives.

Thanks for the encouragment......

FEB - The sticks are Aspen, lite and easy
to carve. Does take a little stain to bring out the highlights. I spray a coat of sealer on before staining to keep it from absorbing too much.
When hiking here in Colorado the last thing you need is a heavy stick....
Old Geezers need all the help they can get.
