| | Re: Another New Carver I have been carving ducks the last year or so - I carved my first bird as a teenager but then I didn't carve for 10+ years. Just started into working decoys - I like to paint - so I think that Smoothies will be my focus - I entered my first carving competition last week at the Canadian Carving Championships and won a first in Novice Smoothie division - I was both surprised and happy. I do need to learn how to properly float my birds though - So I joined the Golden Horseshow carving club - A really nice, helpful group of carvers. |

| | Re: Another New Carver Greetings from Dunnville there Tracy. That was a great show last weekend, glad you won a ribbon. I'd join that club as well but it's to dang far from here to travel for just a couple hours. You'll meet a lot of great carvers on here, enjoy.

| | Re: Another New Carver Hi Kathy,
I wish I lived in Arizona today - We had 12+ inches of snow and freezing rain - sometimes I really wish I lived somewhere warmer - Although Arizona does get cold at night
Take Care,
