Default I would like to show you a rarity

I would like to show to you a rare log had gotten him/it I here.
It is about an alder. Weight about 180 kilograms.The trunk was found in a quarry.

what I make for it, I don't yet know - I could introduce me to shape a well

beautiful hunk of log.maybe a snake or dragon? lots of possibilities. have fun carving it! show us what you do with it.

Whatever you decide to do with it, my suggestion would be to take a lesson from the cottonwood bark carvers. Leave the bent portions natural so that the flow of the wood is not lost in the carving process. If this is carved away, then the figure could have been carved from a large piece of typical growth wood.

That is a beautiful piece of wood. I once saw a carving of a otter chasing some trout. The flow of that piece remids me of the angles of your wood.
