Where can I purchase Tupelo Carving Blocks:

Hopefully I'm not trying to promote sales, however I have been goggling over the country and I have'nt been able to locate any tupelo wood sales. Most of the places that used sell tupelo, no longer carry it due delivery issues.

We just got back to California from Rhode Island after visting with our daughter for two weeks, while she was delivering our new grand daughter. It was colder than a frozen door knob. Anyway I purchased a block of tupelo from a Woodcraft Store around the Newport area and it was so hard I could hardly penetrate the wood with power tools. So please folks I need your help.
Thanks,
Oscar

I generally stock up once a year from Slims Woodshed when he comes here for the annual show (next weekend). He normally has it and does mail order.

It has always been real good tupelo from him.

For Tupelo and carving supplies in general you may wish to call Curt's Waterfowl Corner--800/523-8474. He's located in Bourg, LA.

I've purchased tools, paints, reference casts etc from him for 8 years. ALWAYS fair prices, prompt service and top quality items. and that's from a Yankee!!!!!
