Default sycamore?

Any one ever whittle sycamore wood? I have a dried branch & thinking of trying to whittle a spoon.

Sorry to be so vague, but I think I saw a post on this forum from someone who uses Sycamore exclusively, could have been the thread 'Favorite Carving Wood'

I have one that I'm doing a magic wand for my kid with. It's a thin branch but carves easy and is still pretty rigid. I got the idea to do a magic wand from here, but didn't know where I was going to get a branch hard enough to use without the kids breaking it. I found the branch while at my son's soccer practice. Now I can't wait to go back and look for more.
