I am trying to locate a source for walking stick tips or ferrules. I don't want rubber crutch tips which I can get from a medical supplier, but I would like the good, brass kind. I am just starting out in this hobby and I do not need bulk quantities, only a few to get going. Thank you. PBL |

Hi: You might want to try making your own using brass, PVC or copper pipe end fittings. You total cost to make one is less than $2.00 plus you get the satisfaction of saying your made everything when you finish your stick. This is the basic how to do it: Get an end cap a little smaller than you stick diameters. Get a matching bolt and nut out of brass or steel. Drill a whole through the brass fitting and then put the bolt through the hole from the inside and secure with a nut. Use adhesive to have the nut secure. Now fit it to the stick and you are down. |

we have a mom and pop hardware store here that i love!! they have every size rubber tip you can imagine as well as cork stoppers for bottles and you buy as few or as many as you want. i love just walking around and seeing all they do have, and always end up buying more than i planned cause i keep finding stuff that i was like.man i didn't know ya'll had this?!! check one out if it's near by plus usually dealing with them is way more friendly and keeping the money local.
