Default spiral brass poles

I've been carving 1 1/2" scale carousel animals and have been looking for years for spiral brass poles for displaying them. I found some at Artcraft.com but they only fit some of my critters. Does anyone have a source for spiral poles? I'm looking for 3/16" diameter.
Thanks,
Christine

Christine, try this site.....you will have to email a contact person for supply info, but it might be worth a try. http://carousels.com/mcb/mcb0906.php

If you can't find any help there, check at a model RR supply store or other regular hobby shop for standard brass tubing. Most of these will carry 3/16" brass tubes, but they will not be spiral.

Here's another one for brass tubing,

www.micromark.com

I've done business with them, but not recently. No complaints, just less need.

Christine, If you do not have any luck locating spiral poles, you can make your own from brass tubing and a modified tubing cutter. Too much to describe here, but I could send you instructions via e/mail.

Thanks for all the hints. I will try all the sites you all suggested and hopefully will find somehthing. It doesn't seem like it should be such a hard product to find.

Pinefeathers,
I think your instructions may come in handy. Do I post my email here or is there a better way to get it to you?
Christine

Pinefeathers,
I sent you an email. I was going to try the private reply but couldn't find anywhere to click that allowed me to send a private message. Is there a trick to it that I haven't figured out yet?
Thanks
christine
