Yesterday, I recieved a peice of redwood burl that I bought off ebay. It was supposed to be a slab 4 inches thick by 32 long from a tree estimated to be 2000yrs. old. I bought it to use as a base for this lifesize Golden Eagle I'm doing. When I opened up the package I just stood there and looked at it with my chin dragging the ground. Probably one of the most beautiful peices of wood I've ever seen!!! When my wife saw it she veto'd the base idea and now it's going to be a table. I guess I need to order another peice and not let my wife see it.
