Default Possible wood source

Hi everyone. Just wanted to give a possible tip for a wood source. We have a habitat for humanity warehouse here where I live. They are only open 1 day a week and for 4 hours. I had never paid much attention before but, today I went in just browsing. They carry all of the left over wood from their builds in the are to sell. Some are full 8 foot boards for $2.00, some are cut offs from 12 inches up around 20 cents and up to 1.00. I noticed some pine, birch, douglas fur ect... ect.... Not real up to speed on all species.

Just wanted to point this out in case any of you had one in your area. What a better way to obtain wood "CHEAP" and support a local charity.

Good tip... I know a Habitant for Humanity supervisor. I think I'll ask him about what they do with cut off's in this area and what they have available, if any.

Another source is if you have a millwork plant. They have a lot of cut offs.
