I found an old walnut door that has about a 2'x8' frame with a walnut veneer panel insert as the center of the door. They are asking $50.00 for the door. Does old walnut carve any good and if so, is $50.00 a good price? Thanks. |

I think I may have answered my own question. I found a place in town that sells walnut. It's not as pricey as I thought it would be, so I will wait until I actually have a need for the wood and then buy it in a younger form.
