i was cutting some large hard maple today and found a pretty nice butternut tree it had 3 nice logs in it. i will cut it on my woodmiser mill in a couple of weeks. i took a walk on the neighboring property where i had cut 9 years ago to show my nephew who works for me a really big butternut this tree is over 3 feet on the stump but totally rotted out. this tree is of no value but makes a nice squirrel tree. btw i found 4 huge moral mushrooms witch i picked for my dad as i think back i had a wonderful day.
