Default Mulberry Stump

Well It's finally happened.
Someone has seen the Wizard on TV (it airs once a week) and would like to have a 7 foot Mulberry stump carved.
I have no idea how Mulberry would compare to any other woods. Does anybody have any experience with it?

Default Re: Mulberry Stump

mullburry is just about like ash.. or the limb i had was,
the color is deceptive as when its first cut it, the wood glistens the color is that of a kids blonde hair in the sun especally quarterswan, but i have yet been able to have anybody tell me how to keep it from turning almost chocklate brown...
i got one home made knive handle made of it, its deep mahogony with just a slight hint of grain color difference, its 9 years old. but will eventualy go darker.
