Default Looking for small wooden eggs

Being new at this I think I posted on the wrong forum so I am posting here, too!

I am looking for wooden eggs smaller than the hen's egg size. Anybody know where I can get them?

Most woodcarving suppliers carry them...
here's one.

Rick is very active on the message board here

While it may take longer, it would also be good practice to carve an egg shape out of basswood....I guarantee you will learn a lot about the cuts and grain direction!!!

Thanks, Bob.

Little Shavers has the hen's eggs, but I haven't seen anything smaller.

Maybe I should try carving down one of those! You're right, it would be good practice. I also have some scrap pieces I could try that with.

Thanks for the idea!

I have a small quantity of small basswood eggs (Pigeon Eggs?). Send me your name and address by private message and I will send you some (1-2 dozen)

Thanks, that is actually one of the ones I checked and didn't find anything smaller than hen's eggs. Pigeon is what I am looking for.

Thanks for starting this thread in a better suited forum.....

I have a question: What would you do with such a small egg?

I did not know that they made this size, and you have aroused my curiosity.

I'm carving cute little birds from a book called Whimsical Birds (or something like that, it's at home and I'm at "work" but the title is close).

I've carved 5 from hen's eggs and painted three of them. They came out really cute and are easy to do.

The book shows sizes from goose down to pigeon. I have several goose size that I haven't carved yet and a couple hen's eggs left. I get the goose and hen sizes from Little Shavers but didn't see anything smaller there.

Thanks, Mark. I did check Len's site and he only lists down to hen size. I did see that his other egg prices are very good and I will probably order from him as soon as I need more hen eggs.
